new venture with fenwick brings fine dining home

Two celebrated Newcastle institutions have announced that they are uniting to bring excellent food to the public on the go.

Finest Punjabi cuisine from one of Newcastle's most renowned restaurants will soon be available to the discerning diner whenever they feel like it, thanks to Department Store, Fenwick. Sachins, of Forth Banks, Newcastle, will be bringing its unique dishes to the public via the delicatessen in the retailer's food hall. From January, shoppers will be able to sample the inimitable delights of this top quality Indian food at their convenience. Sachins menu is created by one of the best Punjabi chefs in the country,Kulmeet Arora (Bob to everyone who knows him) who was trained by Dinesh Rawlley, a passionate advocate of simple, flavoursome food cooked with only the best produce. Sachins have held an unrivalled position among the leaders in high class dining in the city for over 27 years, and this new partnership with Fenwick will enable customers to purchase dishes away from the restaurant itself.

Sachins owner Bob Arora is delighted at the new arrangement. "This is an exciting development for Sachins and it's absolutely great to have a new avenue for our food. Hopefully this will

bring our dishes to a whole new audience. We believe that the Fenwick customer will recognise the high quality of our products and will really enjoy what we have to offer. "

Bob is looking forward to seeing the foods which have helped to build Sachins superb reputation in store, and will be attending Fenwick regularly once the range is launched to perform food demonstrations and discuss Sachins' philosophy - the art of eating well - with consumers.

Fenwick Head of Catering, Audrey McLuckie, is also keen to see Sachins recipes on the shelves. "At Fenwick, we pride ourselves on offering good quality, locally sourced produce, this partnership is testament to this. Sachins has a fantastic reputation for the standard of its dishes; as a result we expect that they will be a big hit with customers looking for a convenient way to dine in the home."
